How To fix Internet Explorer Cannot Display The Web Page

There are many reasons that Internet Explorer could be encountering this issue. Some examples are connectivity to your ISP, a firewall blocking your connection, or your networking device not functioning properly. Here are some things that you can try:

Method 1: Run the Network Diagnostics tool in Internet Explorer:-

1. Start Internet Explorer, and then try to access the Web page that is displaying the error message.
2. On the page that displays an Internet Explorer error message, click the Diagnose Connection Problems link. The Network Diagnostics tool will run. When the tool has finished running, it will report one of the following results:

It was unable to find a problem.
It has detected a problem. Additionally, the tool will provide guidance about the next steps to take to troubleshoot the problem.

3. Click IP Address, and note the IP Address. You may need it for future troubleshooting.
4. Follow the steps in the Network Diagnostics tool to fix any connection problems.
5. Start Internet Explorer.

If you receive the same error message, go to the next method.

Method 2: Reset the modem or the router:-

1. Disconnect the cable that connects the computer to the modem.
2. Turn off the modem and the router.

Note: If the modem or the router does not have a power switch, disconnect the power to the modem or to the router.

3. Restart the computer.
4. After your computer has restarted, turn on the modem or the router, connect the cable from the computer to the modem or the router, and restart the computer.
5. Make sure that all network cables are securely connected.
6. Start Internet Explorer.

If you receive the same error message, go to the next method.

Method 3: Use the Delete Browsing History feature:-

If resetting the modem or the router did not resolve the problem, deleting your browsing history might help. Follow these steps to remove your temporary Internet files, history, and form data:

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Click the Safety button, and then click Delete Browsing History.
3. Select the check box next to each category of information you want to delete.
4. Select the Preserve Favorites website data check box if you do not want to delete the cookies and files associated with websites in your Favorites list.
5. Click Delete. (This could take awhile if you have a lot of files and history.)
6. Close Internet Explorer, start Internet Explorer again, and then try to access the Web page.

If you receive the same error message, go to the next method.

Method 4: Use the Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) mode :-

1. To do this, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

If this resolves the issue, follow these steps to isolate the browser add-on that is causing the issue:

Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab, and then click Manage add-ons.
Click an add-on in the Name list, and then click Disable.
Repeat step 3 until you identify the add-on that is causing the issue.

System Restore in Safe mode can help you restore your computer to a working state when Windows won't start normally. Sometimes your computer suddenly finds itself in a state that Windows doesn't like.

How to get into Safe mode ?

When you power-on your pc it performs a number of self-tests. During the POST (Power On Self Test) you usually see your computer counting its memory and displaying hard disk information. As soon as you see the hard disk detection phase on the screen, press and hold the F8 key.

Hold the F8 key until you see the "Windows Advanced Options menu". Use your keyboard up and down arrow keys to select Windows Safe mode. Windows now tries to start with a minimal set of drivers and functionality. All the fun things are left out, but this basic, strapped-down mode may be the only access path to your Windows desktop.

Once you get in, you will notice that Windows is now running in safe mode, because "safe mode" is displayed in the four corners of your screen. You will also notice it by the reduced functionality and display settings.

Do not worry, if everything goes according to plan, this is only temporary. Now that you are in Windows, you can use System Restore to flash your computer back to when it was still working.

Click Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore.

How To Fix Computer Power Supply ?

Follow the steps below to fix computer power supply:-

1. When you switch on the computer, if the CPU LED does not light up and there is no sound of the fans starting, the mains power supply may not be reaching the power supply unit. Check if the spike guard sockets are working properly.

Also check if the power supply cable is loose on computer. If it is loose, fix or plug it properly

2. The power supply may fail to operate if the motherboard is not connected to the power supply. Check if all the connectors are plugged in properly.

3. If the computer case becomes very hot when you switch on the computer, switch it off immediately. There could be a problem with the earthing or supply voltage. This problem could damage your CPU (it will get burnt). Try to connect the computer to the output of a good quality UPS like APC. Get the earthing checked, because an earthing problem could also damage your hard disk.

4. If your computer is not kept in an air-conditioned environment and if the case heats up after the computer is on for some time, you can try to solve the problem yourself. Check if the power supply fan is functioning properly, by putting your hand behind the power supply. If there is no air circulation, the fan may not be moving. 5. If a computer is used for many hours daily, the electronic components of a power supply may fail. When a computer hangs or keyboard stops working suddenly or the computer restarts randomly, these could be a sign of a gradual power supply failure. Since power supply units are cheap, it is advisable to replace it with a new unit, preferably of higher rating.

6. A laptop should work without a battery when it is connected to the mains power supply. If it does not work, either the power supply cable is loose or there is a problem with the mains adapter.
